Everyone's favorite sheet-destroyer Soulja Boy made a hell of a claim earlier this week: He says he and Kanye have been working together on West's Good Ass Job, and Kanye is apparently now a fan of Soulja's.

 

    "When I was in the studio, I played him a couple of joints, and then he just said, 'Damn, he's really starting to go hard,'" Soulja Boy said. "And I was like, 'Yeah, you feel me?' ... Out of all the artists to get the go-ahead or the co-sign from, it was Kanye."

 

    "Me working with him, collaborating on different beats. Him showing me a lot of stuff I didn't know. Me showing him a lot of stuff he didn't know. He had an ear for my sound. Of course I had an ear for all the stuff he did. Genius! You know what I mean?"

 

 

 

If this is true, this is some serious Def Jam-Interscope-cross-branding shit. Or Kanye-losing-his-mother fucking-mind type shit. I'm kind of curious what "Had an ear for all the stuff he did" means. Does Soulja Boy have an ear especially tuned to Kanye's hits? Does he have three ears? Or does that mean he likes Kanye. Because that's way different than understanding his beatmaking. Soulja Boy is still so goofy.
